Women Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurship, through the past, has been denoted as a male concept and women stay the farthest on this account. It is an excellent art of creating and owning business, and to develop the economy level of both personal and global. But, history has rolled over, and today it is the day of women and they excel in the field of business and entrepreneurship. Perfect planning and consistent effort of work are the keys that made this change a possible one. Throughout the globe, one can find extensive examples of women entrepreneurs and their success rate are always marked high and consistent. Mary Kay Ash, Oprah Winfrey, Debbi Fields, Shahnaz Husain are just few examples, yet this is a never ending long list.
Mary Kay Ash commenced her career with her own savings of $5000 along with the contribution of her son. Initially Mary Kay Inc. was small store in Dallas, with just nine beauty consultants under her. Her effective planning brought the concept of INCENTIVES and top sales director awards for her consultants. The motivation she had towards her career was made to spread across her consultants, and thereby their united dedication paved the way for growth. Awards she got made her more confident and enthusiastic towards her career. Fortune Magazine awarded her company “The 100 best companies to work for in America” and ’10 best companies for women to work” (Mary Kay Ash). This experience gave her the courage and the required experience in becoming a successive entrepreneur.
Though individual stories may vary, the base is the same for all women entrepreneurs and it is the consistency and dedication towards the focused goal. Media plays a major role in supporting and encouraging women entrepreneurs, and the voice of the entrepreneurs are raised through the media. There have raised a number of organizations that solely focus on the growth of women. Networking plays a major role for women in developing their business attitudes and skills. Centre of Women and Enterprise (CWE) is one such platform which creates the space for networking among the peer group which is a beneficial and a developing factor for women to grow. They take measures to help the women in setting up and growing their businesses. When they get to socialize with others of same mind and thoughts, they learn more about the business techniques and their motive towards developing the business grows in line with the other grown enterprises.

Women excel in the field of enterprising and grow as entrepreneurs with their skills and talents, and they shape their minds towards achieving their goal. As women are focused towards their goal and they do not easily get deviated, the possibilities of women growth are comparatively high. However, the support and motivation, and even sponsorship from a male happen, at least at the initial stage of their growth. This justified with the case of Mary Kay Ash, where the initial contribution from her son was a major source of her career.
Policy makers cannot tend to avoid women, as they are the emerging force of the global economic rate. Both the economy and the democracy include both the gender and thus eliminating and degrading women is no more in practical existence. Women business associations must focus towards expanding their business into the international market, and this can more easily happen through the networking. They must volunteer themselves in the international trade market, by expanding their global network (Phyllis Bonanno).
Moral support from media and organizations such as National Foundation of Business Owners help the women grow their business organization and to face the global market. However, all these factors are mere external supports and the complete contribution and dedication of the women are the secret of their entrepreneurship success.
