Hindus celebrate a lot of festivals round the year. The festive of lights, Diwali is the best celebrated among all the festivals. Children, especially, enjoy this fun and frolic festival. The whole day is a pleasurable day for the children.

Children can enjoy themselves with the beautiful new fashion apparels for the eve of Diwali. The main benefit of the occasion is that the entire family joins together on the day. Children can have a great time with uncles, aunts, granny, cousins, friends and neighbours.

The sweets and the crackers are the favourite for the children to spend Diwali as a moment of delight and entertaining.

Some children enjoy the heavy crackers and the atom bombs whilst few others prefer the changu chakras and the busvaanams… some choose the blast sound of crackers whereas others enjoys the lights of sparklers.

Some children will start their involvement in decorating the entrance with the Rangolis and lights. It is a sure thing that the rows of lighted bright-looking will make everybody cheerful and overwhelming. It is a fascinating thing to see all the children and the adults dressed up traditionally with effervescent colours. Children will not afford to miss the Laddo on this special occasion.

Having all the fun the day long, no one can forget the vital custom of Diwali, the oil-baths. Children can handle even an atom bomb easily than the oil-baths.

Parents can take the opportunity to explain to the children the value of our tradition and custom, the specialty of our culture, the different ways of celebrating Diwali in different customs and such other valuable things. Attitude!!!

Comment or compliment

Everyday we get a lot of opinions for everybody around us. Someone known to us, someone close to us, someone completely alien to us, everybody passes comments on us. It can be a positive comment, it can be an advice, it can be a healthy suggestion, it can be a flirting idea, it can be worthless, it can be rubbish and whatever.

But, who we receive it is completely our decision. One should have the attitude of transforming every comment as a compliment. Be with a positive attitude. People may try to insult us or make fool of us at many circumstances. But our positive attitude will help us to definitely play reverse game with them.

Say for example, when someone comments you with sarcastic tone. Just throw a smile on them and say “thanks for the compliment”! They will feel insulted but actually you did not insult them. So, you can relax and throw the ball back to their court with the positive attitude of taking comments as a compliment.

It is a clear fact that nobody is perfect enough to comment on others but people do not realise it. To show them as intelligent, people try to make fool at others. But this will bother our life not a single percent. So, everyone should develop the attitude of taking all the comments and compliments and just smiling back at it.

The attitude of taking comments as compliment will help the self to have a relaxed life unlike bothering for silly words. Both the positive and negative comment must be taken as a motivation and compliment factor. Smile. It costs nothing. Smile and say ‘thanks for the compliment’ to all negative comments you receive.

Try this!!! It will work out. You can feel a peaceful life with no tensions and worries. Be positive. Transform comments to compliments.

RULES - Make or Break????

Indians, especially youth have a high end of concern for settling abroad. Now, the ban of smoking by Anbumani Ramadoss have paved yet another way for it for Indians to prefer foreign countries where smoking is a very much a part of regular life.

Smoking, a matter of prestigious deal is getting hit in India. Oct 2nd 2008 can be declared as a slavery day for smoking men in India. We have got smokers of different kinds like occasional smokers, self controlled smokers and chain smokers.

Men of 14+ years fall under the category of smoking who are not children to punish. Teens basically have the ‘let things happen’ attitude and this law increases such an attitude in the youth. It is very universal that every one of us has the instinct “Break the Rules”. Men feel that the law is peeping into their private life and therefore the attitude to contempt the rule is developing.

Individual privacy cannot be clogged whilst smoking, which is noxious to human life, cannot be let to grow. It is after all for the wellbeing of the populace, that the Government is implementing such laws but to gain a proper result, the path chosen must be correct. So, instead of imposing it as a rule, can there be a production control which will indirectly lead to the expected result. Self realisation must be developed instead of enforcing laws.

Are the citizens clever in “Breaking the Rules” or the Government clever in “Making the Rules”???
